I made a late night run to this place as I was in the area after a festival ended. Upon entrance, I was impressed with how busy the place was despite it being so late. I ended up opting for a gyro as I had heard some amazing things about them. The food came out after about 10 minutes and I immediately dug into it. Out of all the gyros I have had in Columbia, this place definitely ranks higher on my list. The food tasted fresh and of high quality. The restaurant really stretches your dollar so it's worth a visit.
Rode out on our motorcycle from North Augusta, SC. Its so good its worth the ride. I had the burger for the first time instead of the normal gyro and it was excellent - would recommend. My wife had the veggie wrap and she loves it. Would I go again - oh yes we have been here many times and many times more to come I predict.
It was near midnight and we were craving some GOOD food. My friend had told us we had to stop by Nick's. I was kind of wary about a place that serves both gyros and seafoods well into the night, but I was willing to give it a try. We drove out and go into the drive-thru lane which went by pretty quickly. I ordered a lamb gyro and a 1/2 lb of fried gizzards while my boyfriend ordered a philly cheese steak. I'm a sucker for gyros, every place makes great gyros for me and Nick's is no different. The pita was good, lamb was plentiful and flavorful, and there was a perfect amount of tzatziki sauce. The onions added the perfect freshness, although I was there was a little more tomato. The fried gizzards were hefty, but good. I love the chew and flavorful of gizzards, although it's definitely an acquired taste. My boyfriend loved his philly cheese steak, although he couldn't finish it because the portion was so big! Nick's is a great place to go for good fast food. It's cheap, delicious, and open late at night. You can't ask for more than that. We'll definitely be back to try their different options!
I usually go to Nick's at Garners Ferry Dr, about 11 miles away, but wanted to try this one out, since it's 4 miles away from me. 2 orders of 1 lb crab legs cost $46 ($23 @ piece). It comes with no side or drink. I remembered at the other Nick's, it always came with corn on the cob. Also ordered 2 gyros, 1 was deluxed, cost $12, comes with french fries and a drink, other gyro was a la carte, cost $9. Total for those 4 items cost $66 with military discount. Crab had a nice but an overload of spicy Old Bay seasoning. I had to rinse off the seasoning since it was just a bit too spicy for me. Other than that, crab meat was very sweet and delicious. I felt the gyro was very small for $9. Gyro meat and pita tasted very good. The seasoned french fries also tasted good.
